Cavaliers, Central Kingston
try to maintain in KSAFA leagues
Leader Cavaliers will look to take a strangle hold on the KSAFA
Super League with a victory over sixth-placed Constant Spring.
With four games remaining in the season, Cavaliers are out front
on 37 points, two ahead of Rae Town and six ahead of
third-placed Santos
and are in the driver’s seat.
Last year they lost the league title on goal difference to
August
Town and cannot afford to
slip up against a Constant Spring outfit lying 17 points behind
and out of contention.
Second-placed Rae Town on 35 points should stay in touch a win
over ninth-placed
Duhaney
Park on 16 points..
Rae Town turned back
Mountain View
1-0 last week in the feature game and could go top if Cavaliers
slip up.
The competition’s leading goalscorer Damion Jackson with 15
goals will again be the man for Rae Town.
The Carlton Dennis-coached
Santos
(31) face a stern test against the Jamaica Defence Force in
fifth spot with 28 points and with an outside chance of lifting
the title.
Meanwhile relegation favourites Maverley/Hughenden should
continue on their losing ways when they host
Bull
Bay.
Maverley are rooted to the bottom on four points from 16 games
including 14 defeats but are eight points behind 10th-placed
Bull
Bay on 12 points.
If they are to survive the drop and catch
Bull
Bay, then they must start
a winning run and it must start now.
Only last season Meadhaven was playing premier league football
now they are in grave danger of being relegation to the Major
League if they fail to beat Barbican.
Meadhaven are second from bottom on six points and trail the 10th-placed
team by six points and could have the rare feat of dropping two
divisions in two seasons.
In the KSAFA Major League, leader Central Kingston (26) should
have the beating of
Cooreville
Gardens struggling in
ninth place on 12 points.
Second-placed Police on 25 points should also get the better of
10th-placed Molynes United on 11 points and stay in
striking distance of Central Kingston.
Third-placed Rockfort on 21 points should see off bottom a
Swallowfield team on five points and looked certain to play Syd
Bartlett football next season.
